Russian ship ‘Nadezhda’ departs from Colombo harbour

The Russian sail training ship 'Nadezhda' which arrived at the port of Colombo on 14th June, set sail from the Colombo harbor yesterday (17th June).

The ship that is 108 .6 m in length and 14 m in width, had got 120 training cadets on-board.

During its stay in the country, the ship was open for the visit of school children.

Besides, the ships' crew had organized a photography exhibition on-board ship for the visitors to enjoy. Apart from that, they took part in several programs and sporting events organized by the Sri Lanka Navy.
