Huawei Mate 10 new leak confirms Android 8.0 Oreo, Stylus support and more
Well, in the last few weeks Huawei has been dropping hints and teasers about the upcoming launches, and we pretty much have an idea of what the new smartphones will be bringing to the market. Now after a whole bag of teasers, a new video of the Mate devices have surfaced online on Weibo. This latest video confirms the Android version of the upcoming devices.
Additionally, the new leak also suggests stylus support for the Huawei Mate 10 Pro which should be the premium model among the two new devices. Having said that, the company has confirmed that the Mate 10 will run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. From this we can also tell that Huawei Mate 10 Pro which will likely be unveiled alongside the Mate 10 will also be running on Android O.
Interestingly, the Chinese company may also reveal a new EMUI version as well. As for the Weibo post it reads, "Equipped with Android 8.0 system, give you a better Andrew experience. October 16, with you, to witness the powerful combination. Huawei Mate10. See you in Munich, Germany!" Apart from the Oreo feature, the video teaser doesn't reveal any other information. In another instance, popular tipster Evan Blass has shared a new leaked Mate 10 Pro image on Twitter. The image shows stylus support for the device. The pen, however, looks like a Moleskine Pen+ and what it could mean is that Huawei must be working with Moleskine for its Smart Writing Set. The image shows the Smart Writing Set stylus along with Mate 10 Pro at the side.
A competition for Samsung's Galaxy Note 8? We will soon find out. The new image leaked by Blass also confirms that Huawei Mate 10 Pro will feature a dual camera setup at the back of the device with Leica branding.
According to previous leaks and rumors, it is expected the Mate 10 Pro will sport an "EntireView" QHD (1440x2880 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and a screen size of 5.99-inches. Under the hood, the Mate 10 Pro is believed to use the company's in-house Kirin 970 SoC.T he Mate 10 Pro could also be launched in four configurations: 6GB RAM/64GB storage, 6GB RAM/128GB storage, 6GB RAM/256GB storage, and 8GB RAM/256GB storage.
The smartphone will be backed by a massive 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. It is also expected to be coming in different color options such as Rose Gold, Black, Blue, and Coffee Brown.
