It’s Official! the female film director Patty Jenkins has signed on to make the sequel to the Wonder Woman summer blockbuster Wonder Woman-Part-II in a deal that makes her the highest paid female Movie Director in the Hollywood History. The 46-year-old Patty Jenkins will get $8 million to direct, produce and write the superhero movie Wonder-Woman-Part-II, according to a report. The report also revealed that Patty Jenkins is set to receive a hefty chunk of the film’s back-end gross collection at the Box-Office.
It is quite the feat since the 'Wonder Woman' was the first standalone female-led superhero movie since that abysmal 2005 superhero movie Elektra. It also happens to be the first ever superhero movie to have been directed by a Woman Movie Director. It rode to the top of the box office in June on a wave of good reviews and praise for its female empowerment, and with $816.4m at the worldwide box office collection it is the second-biggest movie of the year after the live-action version of the Beauty and the Beast, until the Spiderman: Homecoming (which has been also released this year) eventually overtook it at the worldwide box office records.
Patty Jenkins will once again direct the Israeli Actress Gal Gadotas the superhero in the upcoming movie Wonder Woman-Part-II, which has been scheduled for the release on December 13, 2019.
